Some progress is apparent: In the past few years a number of local organisations emerged in South Sudan, aiming to empower women in various ways.

The Roots Project on Facebook‘The Roots Project’ is one of these organisations. On an every day basis it provides women with a chance to generate income, gain new skills and exchange their thoughts with others.
